Issue with multiple operators and modules 2 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Great Job on the new release! I am testing it to see if it will work in our environment and I have run into an issue. I will try my best to explain it.

On my site, I have the navigation broken down by departments and I would like the LiveChat to be the same way. So I created all the users for 2 separate departments in LiveChat and published 2 different modules on 2 different pages. We will call them Department 1 and Department 2.

If an operator is online for Department 1 then it shows "online" in the module for that department AND it also shows "online" for the Department 2 module when they are really offline. If you click on the module for Department 1 then you get the operator just as you should. Now, if you click on the module for Department 2 that says "online"(which is really offline) you get a message saying that Live Chat is not available.

I hope this makes sense.

Hi mangotti,

Thank you for describing the issue in such detail. We have tested the module and you are correct, if you have 2 different departments and one department is offline and one is online, then it says that they are both online. We are working on a solution for you, and should have something within the next several hours. I will post the solution here very soon.

Thank you!

Hi mangotti,

Please uninstall the JLive! Chat component, and module and then install the new component, and module below:

http://cmsfruit.s3.amazonaws.com/com_livechat.zip

http://cmsfruit.s3.amazonaws.com/mod_jlivechat.zip

After installing the new component and module above, the issue you reported should be resolved.

Great! Can you extend my license for Henrietta.org a few more days so I can continue testing it? I also have to test it behind an authenticated proxy server. Thanks!

Hi mangotti,

I have reset your trial period for Henrietta.org.

Unfortunately, JLive! Chat v3.7.1 currently does not support authenticated proxy servers. We are still working on that and expect to have it built into the next minor version any day now.

Ok! Will you be sending out an email when this minor release is made available?
