TOPIC: JTurbo plugin is required, but not installed?
#1281
JTurbo plugin is required, but not installed? 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
I have two problems at this point:

(1) Although I have clearly installed the JTurbo plugin for Joomla, and even synchronized my files with Cloudfiles, I get a red message on the screen: "The JTurbo plugin is required, but is not installed! Please correct this issue for proper functionality." So is the plugin installed or not? And if not, how do I finish installing it?

(2) I have the same "Hanging" problem mentioned in another forum topic. I can not select "Synchronize" without Explorer freezing (and never recovering). The only solution I saw in the other forum topic was to exclude folders with "hundreds of thousands of files." I do have an images folder with, perhaps, more than a hundred files, but if I exclude my images folder, what exactly is the point of using the JTurbo plugin (which I thought would let me offload these files)?

Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to the above issues.

Hello

You can find out if the JTurbo plugin installed successfully by going to Extensions -> Plugin Manager from within your Joomla administrator. Please ensure it is installed and enabled.

Please send me your JTurbo log file located at /logs/jturbo.log.php

Please also try access the following URL while logged into your Joomla administrator:

http:// www. yourdomain .com /administrator/index.php?option=com_jturbo&view=sync&task=sync_files&debug=true

Please let me know if there is any error message displayed on the URL above.

Please note that after clicking the synchronize button, please allow JTurbo up to 5 minutes to complete even if it seems the web browser has froze at a certain number.

Hundreds of images is NO PROBLEM... but you should exclude any folders that contain tons of files, like thousands and thousands of files.

Hope that helps!

OK I have resolved (1). Apparently I had installed one file but not the other.

As far as (2) I have let it sit for as long as five minutes but to no avail. I will try to let it sit overnight and see if that helps.

Overall, assuming (2) is not a problem, I am now just wondering if this module is doing me any good. I am getting "F"s on 5 of 6 categories on webpagetest.org. So my question is this: As far as you can tell, have I now received all the benefit (if any) I am going to get from your software? My speed does not seem noticeably faster....
