Two Questions! 1 Year, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
1. After creating Glogal Responces in the Joomla admin how do you get those to populate to your desktop program. I have restarted the desktop app several times and it still doesn't populate. Is there a setting that needs to be set in order for that to work?

2. Activity Monitor Sessions. I have a session that is not going away. The global session time on the site is set at 15min and then I noticed that in the new version of the chat there is this spot, "Website Activity Monitoring Expiration:". So I set that to 20min. That was two hours ago and the session is still showing. I have opened and closed the desktop app a number of times trying to get it to clear. The older version it used the sites session time to clear. But it doesn't appear to be doing so now.

Any advise on either issue?

Hi Denis

It sounds like you may not have the latest version component, plugin, module and desktop application installed. Please ensure your have v4.0.6 component, plugin, module and desktop application installed. You can check which version you are using by going to Extensions -> Install/Uninstall -> Components from within your Joomla administrator.

You can always download the latest version from our download section here:

http://www.cmsfruit.com/downloads.html#jlivechat

Regarding the session timeout... as of version 4... JLive! Chat no longer bases the website activity monitor expiration based on session timing... instead you can set your own custom expiration by going to Components -> JLive! Chat -> Settings... under the General tab, there is a setting named "Website Activity Monitoring Expiration:"... that is where you can specify the length of time the visitor should remain in the website activity monitor.

Please note, that if the visitor keeps moving around your website then their session expiration timer resets... the visitor will only expire from the "website activity monitor" after being idle for the amount of time you specify in your settings mentioned above.

Best Regards,
John

Checked the version number and the version number matches the one you gave me. I actually downloaded it last night and did the install per the instructions given through a support ticket and the web site.

Also with the canned responses I could never get them to populate on the older version as well.

Hi Denis,

The global canned responses should populate automatically... if it doesn't that usually means the JLive! Chat desktop application can't properly communicate with your website.

Can you please go to Components -> JLive! Chat -> Information from within your Joomla administrator and tell me if everything is green and okay?

Can you please also submit a debug report by going to Help -> Debug Report -> Send to Technical Support from within the JLive! Chat desktop application?

Thank you!

Issue still not resolved.

Do I need to send another debug report?

We haven't done anything yet to resolve the issue. We are still debugging the issue. What you did earlier was delete your JLive! Chat desktop application log file, so that when you submit a new debug report, it is a fresh report and all old errors and messages are gone.

So yes, please try re-add your operator access key back to the desktop application and then if it fails, please submit another debug report.

Now, you mentioned that you were back online, which now makes me wonder... So you have successfully added the website to the desktop app? It's just not showing you online, is that correct?
