I just downloaded jlive to try it out and got an error when installing the component

I went ahead and tried just enabling the plugin to see if the error was harmless but the site no longer loads after the plugin in enabled.


 


Any ideas?

The warnings you reported are occurring upon installation because JLive! Chat is looking for it's tables which don't exist yet. Please uinstall the component and then re-install the component and the warnings will not occur again.

I have tried reinstalling the component several times and each time get the same results.

It should be safe to ignore this warning message. This message shouldn't prevent the application from working properly.

Okay, the only reason I brought them up is that it is not working properly. When I enable the plugin none of my joomla pages will load anymore. They all result in a blank page until I remove the plugin. I checked the troubleshooting docs and do have the stuff in the head of my template and have the php.ini settings required.

I apologize for that, I missed the part that you mentioned where the plugin is causing an issue. Can you enable the plugin and then go to the frontend of your website and try load the page expect this time add the following variable to the address bar on your web browser:


 


?debug=true


 


So your final URL would look like this


 


www.yoursite.com/index.php?debug=true


 


Then look for any error messages on the page.... then you can disable the plugin again.
