Can you check to see if port 5890/tcp is open on your computer after you launch the JLive! Chat desktop app? On windows you can check this by:
Start Menu -> Run -> type in 'cmd' and hit enter, then type 'netstat -na' in the ms-dos box and hit enter
Also if you have a firewall on your computer or are behind a router, you will need to ensure that port 5890/tcp can pa** through.
If that doesn't work, try re-downloading the JLive_Chat.zip and re-installing the JLive_Chat_Setup.exe file, you can download it from
