First ... all modules and plugins installed and configured. Check!

Second ... ports are open and forwarded. Completes the telnet test. Check!

Third ... Joomla shows acknowledgment of the server and IP address. Check!

Problem 1. The pop-up window opens. I enter my name and hit continue and get nothing. No "Connecting" No "Time Out" No "Error"... just nothing, both in IE and Firefox

Problem 2. I tried deleting and regenerating a key for the Joomla site and now the server software on my PC says the key is not valid. I have tried a few times with domain.com and www.domain.com

Problem 3. Cannot remove my site from the server software on my PC with the "My Joomla! Websites" window.

Problem 4. Cannot fully uninstall the server software meaning I tried to uninstall the software and reinstall the software to clear out the settings and site but with each reinstall the settings and site remain.

Solved 3 & 4. Deleted everything named Jlive.

I did a little digging and found this in the "Error Console" of Firefox:

Error: invalid flag after regular expressionSource File: **my-domain-name**/media/system/js/mootools.jsLine: 81, Column: 11Source Code:<b>Warning</b>:  fsockopen() [<a href='function.fsockopen'>function.fsockopen</a>]: unable to connect to **my-ip-address**:5890 (Connection refused) in <b>/**path-of-server**/components/com_livechat/models/popup.php</b> on line <b>67</b><br />

Again ... Second ... ports are open and forwarded. Completes the telnet test. Check!

Thanks for your help!

I go everything working and will write a "How-To" for using JLive Chat on GoDaddy hosted websites.

Thank you for that! Just to re-cap the solution... Certain hosting provider block outgoing connections from your server, in this case port 5890 is blocked by Godaddy, and to workaround this you should change your JLive! Chat port to port 80 or 443 since that port is allowed by some providers. Otherwise you will need to ensure that your webserver hosting your Joomla website can send outgoing packets via fsockopen PHP function.
