It is the installation of the 3rd optional package that doesn't work the Online, Offline module (mod_jlivechat.zip)

This is the one I'm having trouble getting to work.

Hi soldatenhund,

I took a look at your website and the reason you are experiencing issues with JLive! Chat is because you are using the old version component, plugin, and module. Sometimes our download servers cache the files and you may have downloaded the old version accidentally.

To fix the issue, please uninstall the JLive! Chat component, plugin, module and desktop application. Then install the new version by downloading it using this direct download link:

http://www.cmsfruit.com/component/jcommerce/?view=product&task=download&i=17

Using the direct download link above will ensure that you are downloading the latest version.

After installing the new version component, plugin, module and desktop application, then go to Extensions -> JLive! Chat -> Operators and re-download your operator access key file and then re-add it into your JLive! Chat desktop application. You should be all set after that!

The online/offline image module is functioning, but your JLive! Chat desktop application is not successfully synchronizing with your website which is causing JLive! Chat to show you offline. After you install the new version using the direct download link I provided you, everything should function normally.

I tried uninstalling and it destroyed my joomla adminstator site, I had to restore from joomlapack tools via kickoff.

Lost an entire's day work and the patch still didn't work.

I reinstalled after restoring but it appears there were some files left behind, deleted the folders it was complaining about in componenents and admin/components and modules.

Still ahve the original problem if you want to have a look.

Please provide a clear roadmap to fix or completely clean without using the uninstall as it broke my site the last time.

I would like to use this chat program but.......I'm not having any luck so far.

Please check the site again, I'm online right now if anyone is around.

You must be using a pretty old version because the bug you are experiencing where the administrator website becomes unavailable after un-installing was fixed in an earlier release. Try uninstalling the items in this order:

1. Uninstall the JLive! Chat module
2. Uninstall the JLive! Chat plugin
3. Uninstall the JLive! Chat component

Then re-install the latest version and follow the instructions from my previous post.
