| Jlive!Chat installation problems 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago | Karma: 0 | | i am having difficulty initiating a Chat. In reading through the forum i thought it was a problem with being on a backlevel so I installed the latest version from your website - still no success.
Symptoms: the mod, com, and plugin install successfully, the workstation app as well. The status of the operator changes to "online" when I activate the operator app. Just don't get the dialogue screen to initiate the chat. I have tried backing off the code by uninstalling it and trying again, but ran into an error with the Plugin "Plugin Uninstall: Manifest File invalid or not found"
Any help would be most appreciated. The website is perfectgolfers.com. | | | | | | | Re:Jlive!Chat installation problems 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago | Karma: 0 | | Hi rbeatty,
Please note that you have to type some text and hit enter when you initiate a pro-active chat session with a visitor. The visitor will see the livechat window when there is actually some text to display. | | | | | | | Re:Jlive!Chat installation problems 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago | Karma: 0 | | Thanks for quick response. On the operator panel there is no indication that a session is requested. on the guest screen there is no change ... no text template to enter info and press "start" | | | | | | | Re:Jlive!Chat installation problems 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago | Karma: 0 | | You have to select the visitor you wish to chat with from the Website Activity Monitor and then click the Initiate Chat button, and then type in some text and hit the send button. That will initiate a pro-active chat session with a visitor. | | | | | | | Re:Jlive!Chat installation problems 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago | Karma: 0 | | Please note that a pro-active chat session pops up on the visitors end only when you type an initial message and send it, and it re-checks for new chat requests every 8 seconds if you have it in "Instant Response" mode. If you have your JLive! Chat pro-active setting set to "Delayed response" then the visitors chat window will only show up after your visitor has clicked to go to a new page. You can check your "Pro-active Chat" setting by going to Components -> JLive! Chat -> Settings from within your joomla administrator. | | | | | | | Re:Jlive!Chat installation problems 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago | Karma: 0 | | I have the pro-active setting set for instant response. Still no luck. The Website Session Monitor does not indicate an operator online nor does it show any visitor indicating chat requests. The Plug-in would not uninstall using the normal operation. Could it be corrupted and be the cause for this problem? Is there a process to manually uninstall it? ...many thanks. | | | | | | |
