TOPIC: Ability to hide visitors

Ability to hide visitors 1 Year, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
I am noticing that there are bots that visit sites that are showing up as GUEST. It would be nice to be able to right click and register the visitor as a bot or a ban feature for the Mac version.

Thanks!

Hi Shannon,

Currently, sometimes spiders/bots get marked as guests because JLive! Chat does not have the entire list of spider/bot signatures built-in. This is something that we will be addressing in the next release of JLive! Chat which should be released in the next month or so. Once a visitor record is marked a spider/bot, you can then filter your website activity monitor to not display spiders/bots.

Just to ensure that we address this specific bot that you are referring to... can you post the spider/bot's Web Browser signature which is listed in the visitor details window by double clicking that visitor in the website activity monitor? That way we can ensure that we include this specific bots signature in the next release of JLive! Chat.

We will also be introducing new firewall features in the next release of JLive! Chat which will allow you to block a certain visitor/ip address from accessing your website or livechat support.

Thank you!
John
